Different types of stepping stones and their uses

If you want to do something new and different in your garden area or landscape area making it more beautiful and amazing, then you should use stepping stones. Stepping stones provides altogether a new look to your garden or landscape area.

You can use stepping stones in through your entrance area, providing your guests a clean, smooth, grass free and dirt free passage to enter your home. While coming through those stepping stones, your guests won't bring any dirt into the home as well. They can be used to cover the large patches on the grass or area due to foot traffic or cars.

Different types of stepping stones can be created by using various products like:

•    Brick pavers
•    concrete pavers
•    Cast iron
•    Stone Cut off's
•    River rocks
•    Rubber

You can purchase these stepping stones from a manufacturer or if you want to make your own stepping stone, you can try to make it on your own. You can make your own patterns, designs and shapes of stepping stones that too in different colours. Your creativity may give a new look to your entrance or your garden area, making it more alive and beautiful.

While creating a stepping stone you have to follow these steps:

•    Select your choice of colour as there is a large variety of color available for your usage. You can choose colors like brown brick, red brick, camel, charcoal, tan, beige, rusty red, orange, terracotta, etc. In case you care making concrete pavers then you can use liquid stains to colour it or you can add color pigments in the concrete mixture and then create the stepping stones. 
•    Choose the same color scheme throughout while creating the landscape.
•    You can choose colors which can match with the surroundings and compliment them
•    You can use a pattern or combination of shades too, to have a new look. You can select your choice of colors to showcase your creativity and have an original effect.
•    You will be needing products to create a stepping stone which includes precast concrete, different tiles and pieces you want to use in your pattern, think mortar and grout.
•    Then you can use the concrete to build your choice of pattern, shape and size and then you can use them where ever you like them to place.
